How do I censor a face or ID card in a photo?
Load your image, pick a style (pixelate, blur or black box), then drag a box over the face or ID card. Add as many boxes as you need and download the result as a PNG. It all happens in your browser.
Is blurring or pixelating an image really safe?
A solid black box is the safest because it removes the pixels entirely. Heavy pixelation and blur are hard to reverse for casual viewers, but for highly sensitive data such as government IDs, use the black-box style.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. This tool processes everything locally with the Canvas API in your browser. Your image is never uploaded, so it stays private on your own device.
What image formats can I censor?
You can load PNG, JPG, WebP and GIF images up to 25 MB. The censored image is always exported as a PNG so the redacted areas stay sharp and lossless.
