Rotate & Flip an Image Online

Rotate and flip any image without installing software or uploading a thing. Spin a photo 90° left or right, turn it 180°, mirror it horizontally or vertically, or fine-tune a crooked shot with the free-angle slider. The canvas expands to fit any rotation, and you can save the result as a PNG with transparency or a compact JPG — all processed instantly and privately in your browser.

Everything runs in your browser — your image is never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

How do I rotate an image online for free?
Add your image to this tool, then click rotate left, rotate right or rotate 180°, or drag the free-angle slider for any degree. Click Download image to save it. Everything runs in your browser, so it is completely free and nothing is uploaded.
What is the difference between rotate and flip?
Rotating turns the whole image around its centre by a number of degrees. Flipping mirrors it — a horizontal flip swaps left and right, while a vertical flip swaps top and bottom. You can combine both here to get any orientation you need.
Will rotating my photo reduce its quality?
90°, 180° and flip operations are lossless in shape and keep full resolution. Free-angle rotations resample the pixels slightly and add corner space. Exporting as PNG keeps the best quality; JPG is smaller but uses lossy compression.
Does this tool keep image transparency?
Yes. Choose the transparent background and export as PNG to preserve transparency, including the triangular corners created by a free-angle rotation. If you export as JPG, those areas are filled with white because JPG has no transparency.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. The rotation and flipping happen entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image is never sent anywhere, which keeps it private and makes the tool work instantly, even offline once the page has loaded.
