PromptPay QR Generator

Turn a PromptPay mobile number, national ID or e-wallet into a scannable payment QR in seconds. Add a fixed amount to bill an exact total, or leave it blank for a reusable code your customers can top up themselves. The QR follows the EMVCo standard used by every Thai banking app, and it is built entirely in your browser — your number and amount are never uploaded. Download a crisp PNG or scalable SVG to print on receipts, menus or signage.

Frequently asked questions

Is this PromptPay QR generator free?
Yes, it is completely free with no sign-up. Metools is an independent tool that builds a standards-compliant EMVCo QR code — it is not affiliated with any bank, ITMX or the Bank of Thailand, so always confirm the recipient name in your banking app before you pay.
Does the QR work in every Thai banking app?
Yes. It uses the same EMVCo payload format that PromptPay QR codes use nationwide, so any bank app with a scan-to-pay feature can read it, including cross-bank transfers.
What is the difference between a QR with and without an amount?
A QR with a fixed amount pre-fills the exact total, which is ideal for a single invoice. A QR without an amount is reusable: the payer enters whatever they want to send, which suits tip jars, donations or shared bills.
Is my PromptPay number sent to a server?
No. The entire QR is generated in your browser with JavaScript. Your number, ID and amount are never uploaded or logged, so nothing you enter leaves your device.
Should I send a small test transfer first?
A QR only encodes the destination proxy — it cannot show a name until a bank app resolves it. Verifying the name and sending a small test amount confirms the money will reach the right account before you transfer a large sum.
